Course Details

This 2 day event hosted by Auspicium in Hertfordshire, gives you the opportunity to learn the approaches that make up the Provocative Change Works™ and classic Provocative Therapy strategies as created by Frank Farrelly.

These skills are highly effective in personal development, therapeutic intervention, coaching and business contexts. There will be lots of interactions and the teaching will focus on developing skills and how to integrate these skills into measurable and practical outcomes.

Here are some of the things we will be learning during these two days:

• Identifying and utilizing the first 26 Provocative Icon cards for accelerated provocative change
• Exploring the "Full Representation Hypnotic Inductions" to change client "stuck states" to fluid states
• Time Framing client sessions – how to create a future client session while working in the "here and now"
• Practising the PCW exercises to develop multi-level sensory awareness and exquisite state control during client sessions
• Learning the art of improvised and creative interactions, for accelerated results in coaching, therapeutic and business situations
• Working one on one with Nick Kemp as demonstration subject (limited opportunities due to time considerations)
• Exploring Provocative Change Works(tm) and Provocative Therapy from an NLP perspective and how the creators of NLP were influenced by Farrelly's work.

This introductory session will introduce the PCW model and show attendees how to adopt provocative stances to create new and dynamic ways of thinking. This will be a lively interactive session with exercises and demonstrations.

• The structure of PCW for accelerated client change
• The crucial difference between "provocation" and aggression when working with clients
• The importance of "getting in state" when working with clients
• Working outside the constrains of traditional talk therapy approaches "in the here and now"
• An introduction to The Provocative Icon System
• An opportunity to work 1 - 1 with Nick Kemp
• Practising the "What's wrong with that?" exercise to develop provocative skills

This is an introduction to the PCW process. More detailed explorations will be presented in the one and two day events, where we will have more time to see this process in action.

This one day event will introduce the Provocative Change Works process for creating excellence in communication. I explain how this approach differs from "classic NLP" and why this combination of skills works so well with so many client problems. This will be an interactive workshop with plenty of opportunity for questions and feedback.

• Learn the structure of a Provocative Change Works client session
• Explore the fundamental patterns of provocation to create accelerated therapeutic change
• The crucial difference between "provocation" and aggression when working with clients
• Learn how to shift client states by adopting provocative stances
• Working effectively with anxiety related problems and to avoid classic therapeutic mistakes
• How to use the Voice Tempo exercise to deal with anger, jealousy and OCD conditions
• Creating fluid hypnotic inductions with precise language to assist with client change
• How to time frame sessions to maintain essential client change once the formal session is concluded

• Common patterns found in seemingly different client problems and how to deal with them effectively
• Working with OCD, depression, jealousy and other client problems using the PCW process

Nick Kemp presents An Introduction to Provocative Change Works at The Spanish Association for NLP - Second National NLP Congress

This AFPT approved event is an opportunity to learn Provocative Therapy from the source. The weekend will include an opportunity for some to work one on one with Frank Farrelly. Nick Kemp founder of The Association of Provocative Therapy and creator of The Provocative Icon System™ will be teaching many of the latest exercises that assist in developing insights into this approach.

The AFPT policy is to run trainings with small groups to ensure that each attendee receives the very best attention. Places are issued on a first come first serve basis and we fully expect this event to be fully subscribed. Attendees of this event also receive automatic Associate Membership of the AFPT. Please note this workshop will be filmed and all attendees will be asked to sign a standard release form used on all Provocative Therapy events.
