Nick Kemp - Provocative Change Works in Budapest 2011

Provocative Change Works Budapest - March 2011 I just returned from completing three days in Budapest teaching Provocative Change Works. This is the first time I have visited Hungary and it was a memorable experience for a variety of reasons. Firstly the event was very well organized by Dr. Stenger Györgyi with excellent translators who made sure that the three days were fluid, and the full impact of the PCW approach was present in the room. We started each day at 9am and ran until 5.30 or 6pm. On the first day I also did a live interview for Duna TV, and experienced for the very first time what it's like to work with a translator transmitted into my ear via a microphone during a programme!

The Budapest group consisted of a wide range of professionals including business management, marketers, therapists, teachers, coaches amongst others. During the three days we covered the Provocative Change Works process, the Provocative Icon System, sales approaches, the psychology of sales, linguistic patterns in influence, provocative stances that stimulate client responses, hypnosis patterns, the power of voice in communication amongst other material.

After the event ended I gave a radio interview on the PCW approach and was delighted by the perceptive and intelligent observations made by the interviewer. Györgyi and I are already discussing further dates in Budapest and, from what I can see, the people who attended this event are smart thinkers interested in real learning and application. I am also pleased to recieve invitations to run similar events in Austria and we'll be discussing dates in forthcoming months for 2012.

Budapest is a truly amazing city with magnificant buildings and the people who attended the course really liked the material. I am pleased that the PCW approach is finding a global audience with increasing numbers of requests to run workshops overseas. Certainly I am finding that humour is universal, and the approach has a universal application, regardless of whether the audience is from Europe, UK, India, USA or elsewhere. This PCW approach requires people to think for themselves and to have really good sensory acuity. This event was especially interesting for me as I had a number of delegates who were interested in marketing. I therefore ensured that we explored the many similarities between hypnosis and marketing and how we influence both ourselves and others. Many people don't realise just how similar these approaches are and that essentially all marketing is hypnosis by a different name!

We recorded the whole event in high definition using a number of cameras. I did 14 demos with attendees and each attendee was given a CD of their session, so they could listen back to the discussion between their initial interview and their follow up interview the following day. I first used this approach at the Advanced Mastery Training in Boulder 2010, which replicates the cliant process that I use in my clinics in the UK. I was very pleased with the training and look forward to returning to this great city later this year.
